Chairman of Transport Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development appointed

By the order of the Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development, Samat Gilimov was appointed chairman of the Transport Committee. In addition, by order of the Minister, Almas Batanov was relieved as chairman of the Committee for Industrial Development and Industrial Safety due to transfer to another job.

Gilimov was born in 1964 in the Atyrau region. He graduated from the Kazakh Agricultural Institute of the Order of the Red Banner of Labor, the Kazakh State Law Academy.

He began his career path in 1981 as a mechanic at the Koschagyl communal farm of Guryev region. In various years he worked in the commercial sector.

In 2002-2005 he held the position of deputy akim of the Aktobe region.

In 2005-2007 he was deputy director and head of the Branch Office of Emambunaygaz of Kazmunaygas Exploration Production JSC.

In 2008-2017 he worked as deputy head, head, executive officer of the Inter-Regional Transport Control Inspectorate for the Atyrau Region Transport Control Committee.

From April 2017 he has served as deputy chairman of the Transport Committee of the Ministry of Investment and Development.
